Virat Kohli has been in a consistent form as an individual in the T20 format whether it’s international or the IPL. In 196 matches Virat has score 6000 plus runs with an effective strike rate of 130 plus. Virat has scored 40 fifties, third-most by a player and five hundred, second-most after Chris Gayle (6).
His so far best individual has been the explosive knock of 113 runs of just 50 balls which came against Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in the 2016 edition of the tournament. In that very match, Kohli and Gayle unleashed carnage against the opponent guiding RCB to reach a massive total of 211 for 3.
Virat is presently the highest run-scorer of the IPL followed by CSK’s Suresh Raina (5422 runs) and SRH’s David Warner (5311 runs). It will be intriguing to see what more wonders can Kohli do in this season.
Stat alert! : Captain Kohli becomes the first batsman in IPL history to reach 6⃣K runs 🙌
