IPL 2021: Six balls, six 4s for Prithvi Shaw against Shivam Mavi

Prithvi Shaw has shown the ability to perform in crucial games. Captain of India’s Under-19 World Cup winning team, Prithvi was retained by Delhi Capitals ahead of the IPL 2020 and IPL 2021.

Prithvi Shaw didn’t have an impressive IPL in 2020 which was followed by a string of low scores (0 and 4) in the First Test against Australia at Adelaide. He conditioned himself, worked on his batting after being snubbed for the remaining tests and came back to India to play in the domestic tournaments – Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

However, he’s proved his quality this season for DC. He’s scored 187 runs in 6 games. The man on fire, in the first over against KKR,  hit 6 consecutive fours against Shivam Mavi. KKR put a low target of 155, and Shaw has already scored 25 runs in the first over. He might be on his way to one of the fastest, if not the fastest half century.

Shivam Mavi conceded only 13 runs in 4 overs against PBKS. In this game, he’s conceded 13 runs in the first 3 balls.

Considering the current form of Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan, it seems like DC can match CSK and RCB on the table. Whereas, KKR need to work on their middle order to give them a chance to reach the play-offs.
