Virat Kohli admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.2 which relates to “Abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a Match”.

The IPL committee member said in a media statement, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli has been “reprimanded” for breaching Indian Premier League’s Code of Conduct during the IPL 2021 match against SunRisers Hyderabad  in Chennai.

On Wednesday April 14, Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli once again failed to make immense impact with bat in the IPL 2021 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad and he was seen fuming after getting dismissed for 33 off 29 balls. Walking back to the dugout, Virat Kohli could be seen frustrated with himself as he first banged his bat on the boundary line and then on a chair placed near the RCB dugout.

Kohli admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.2 which relates to “Abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a Match”.

“Mr. Kohli admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding,” the IPL committee member said in the statement. However, RCB emerged winners in another nail-biting match in Chennai on Wednesday night against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
