IPL 2021: Virender Sehwag questions SRH for not opening with Jonny Bairstow in the super over

The thriller first super over of the IPL 2021 favoured the Delhi Capital against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. It was Hyderabad batting first in the super over and it was shocking to not see Jonny opening, who scored a furious 38 off 18 in the main innings.

Former Indian Cricketer, Virender Sehwag blamed SRH for their wrong decision in his own witty way through a tweet. He was clearly unhappy with the choice of not sending Bairstow to open. Although, he was baffled by Hyderabad’s efforts but also blamed them for taking an axe on themselves.

Unless Bairstow was in the toilet, can’t get why would he not be your first choice in a super over when he scored 38 of 18 in the main innings and looked the cleanest hitter. Baffling, Hyderabad fought well but have only themselves to blame for strange decisions.” Sehwag tweeted.

With this win Delhi CapitalsC got themselves promoted to second place while Royal Challengers Bangalore, unfortunately, slips on to the third in the points table of the Vivo IPL 2021.
