Plot
Byri, which is based on pigeon racing and is situated in the Tamil Nadu area of Nagercoil, explores the history of the sport that has been practiced for many centuries. Rajalingam (Syed Majeed) is the protagonist of the film, and his goal in life is to compete in and win the pigeon race. Well-known local Suyambu (Vinu Lawrence) is a pigeon racing participant as well. The goal is to become members of a pigeon club. Conflicts, nevertheless, start when Rajalingam exposes Suyambu’s unethical tactics during the campaign. Rajalingam’s life becomes complicated as a result of this. The main plot point of the story is what transpires next.
Byri draws inspiration from older Malayalam films like Angamaly Diaries and Tamil rural sports drama films like Aadukalam directed by Vetri Maaran. The movie’s theme has been portrayed in an honest and realistic way. The movie was interesting even if it was critiqued for being overly violent. The screenplay by Byri is based on the same-titled short film by John Glady.
