Plot
The lavish marriage between Petthaperumal and Paandi opens Veppam Kulir Mazhai. With pure joy and mirth, the families and all the relatives contribute to making the day iconic and unforgettable. They all wish the couple health and happiness, as well as children. But, in a culture where having children is seen as a necessary component of a happy marriage, the couple struggles with infertility within a few years of getting married. They haven’t been allowed to enjoy their own blood for the past five years. Viewers are left wondering if their marriage can stand the test of time as the movie also examines whether their love and dedication can withstand outside strain. The intense emotional struggle the spouse experiences is another intriguing aspect of the film. While the wife’s suffering is unfathomable, we also shouldn’t downplay the husband’s psychological distress.
