Singer Jasmine Sandlas has shared insights into the making of one of the most talked-about tracks from Dhurandhar: The Revenge, revealing that the song Jaiye Sajana was finalised at the last minute. In a recent conversation with Humans of Bombay, the singer spoke about how the track came together just hours before the album launch.
While the film’s music, composed by Shashwat Sachdev, has received strong appreciation for blending well with the narrative of the spy thriller, Sandlas said one song stood out for its emotional depth. She explained that although parts of Jaiye Sajana had been written and recorded months earlier, the final version was completed overnight. The team worked in the studio early in the morning on the day of the launch, recording and polishing the track just before it was presented to the audience.
Sandlas noted that the song captures feelings of loneliness and betrayal, which made it particularly relevant to the film’s storyline. According to her, the response has been overwhelming, with listeners across the country connecting deeply with the track.
She also praised singer Satinder Sartaaj for his contribution to the song, highlighting how his voice added a unique emotional layer. Reflecting on the experience, Sandlas described working on the album as creatively demanding but rewarding, crediting the composer for pushing her to explore new boundaries.With multiple songs in the film’s album gaining attention, Sandlas’ work has emerged as one of the highlights of the project.
