Jocelyn Wildenstein, aka Catwoman, will be cremated, with her ashes resting at her family’s ranch in Kenya

Jocelyn Wildenstein, known as “Catwoman” due to her extreme cosmetic surgeries that gave her a feline-like appearance, passed away on New Year’s Eve at the age of 84. Her fiancé, Lloyd Klein, revealed in a statement that Wildenstein will be cremated, and her ashes will be taken to her ranch in Kenya, where her family’s remains are also located. Before being transported, Wildenstein will be remembered at an intimate funeral in Paris.

Klein, who had been with Wildenstein since 2003 and engaged to her in 2017, expressed shock over her sudden passing, which he described as unexpected. He recounted the tragic moment when he tried to wake Wildenstein for their planned New Year’s celebration, only to find that she had passed away. Klein also mentioned that her death was partly attributed to phlebitis, an inflammation of the veins, and confirmed she died of a pulmonary embolism.

Wildenstein was previously married to French art dealer Alec N. Wildenstein, with whom she had two children. She became infamous for her extreme cosmetic surgeries aimed at altering her appearance to resemble a lynx, a transformation she always denied admitting to, aside from claiming she had Botox treatments.

Her passing marks the end of a controversial and high-profile life, and her final resting place will be alongside her parents at her Kenyan ranch.
