Kane Williamson calls James Anderson and Stuart Broad the legends of the game

Kane Williamson recently joined his fellow mates in the UK for the upcoming England series followed by the World Test Championship final. The Kiwi skipper mentioned England seam duo James Anderson and Stuart Broad as the legend of the game.

“They (Anderson & Broad) are legends of the game, still playing and fit and doing as well as they ever have done, they’re world-class players”, Williamson stated.

New Zealand will be playing a two-match Test series against England before the WTC final in Southampton. Williamson mentioned that despite England missing out on some big names in their squad they have two players Anderson and Broad who knows these conditions better than anyone in the world. They first appeared together in 2007-08 and are still delivering the best proving a threat for any opposing team.

“They know these conditions better than anyone. They have had incredible careers that are still going and they are still going at the height of their games”, Williamson concluded.

The Kiwis will lock horns with England starting on June 02 at the Lord’s Cricket Ground, London. The second and final Test will be played between 10 June to 14 June at the Edgbaston, Birmingham ending four days prior to the WTC final.
