Mandy Moore Speaks Out Against Social Media Hate

Mandy Moore recently responded to critics who criticized her for sharing a GoFundMe page set up for her in-laws, Griff and Kit, after they lost their home in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. In a social media post, Moore explained the dire situation, highlighting the couple’s loss, including Griff’s music equipment, just weeks before the birth of their first child. She urged followers to consider donating and sharing the campaign to help them rebuild.

Some online commenters, however, questioned why Moore, with her reported net worth, didn’t just use her own money to help. Moore fired back, calling these remarks unhelpful and lacking empathy. She clarified that the GoFundMe page was set up by a friend, not her, and that she was only sharing it because people were asking how they could contribute.

In a passionate response, she said, “We just lost most of our life in a fire too. Kindly F OFF. No one is forcing you to do anything.” Moore also emphasized that donations were entirely voluntary. Originally, the campaign aimed for $60,000, but it has since surpassed $176,000, reflecting the generosity of those who wanted to help.
