Fans of the Drishyam franchise have been buzzing with excitement after Mohanlal hinted at a potential crossover featuring Ajay Devgn. While Mohanlal’s Malayalam Drishyam films and their Hindi remakes starring Devgn have been widely appreciated, fans are eagerly awaiting Drishyam 3.
In an interview with India Today Digital, when asked about the possibility of a crossover with Devgn, Mohanlal responded, “I have no idea. Let it happen. I will also pray for that,” sparking speculation among fans. Although his response was ambiguous, it left many thrilled at the idea of seeing the two stars share the screen.
Speaking to Pinkvilla, Mohanlal shed light on the challenges of creating Drishyam 3. “It is a great responsibility. It is more than just bringing out a film,” he shared. Highlighting the difficulty of meeting expectations, he added, “The second movie was so well-received, and people are asking for the third. But it doesn’t happen like that.” He assured fans that the team is actively working on the project and even joked that they are open to story ideas.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal’s recent directorial debut, Barroz 3D, released on December 25, underperformed at the box office despite its hype. Looking ahead, the superstar will reunite with Shobana for Tharun Moorthy’s next film, play the lead in L2: Empuraan, and collaborate with Mammootty on a highly anticipated project, tentatively titled MMMN.
