Newly appointed BCCI Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar spotted at lunch with Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh

Former India all-rounder Ajit Agarkar was appointed as the BCCI chief selector for Indian men’s cricket team on Tuesday. He has represented the country in 26 Tests, 191 ODIs, and 4 T20s. He was also a part of India’s victorious squad in the inaugural T20 World Cup held in South Africa in 2007.

On Tuesday, Agarkar was seen having lunch with Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh. The master blaster took to his Instagram to share a picture from their gathering with a caption, “Two things that keep us close are friendship and food. Met this for an awesome lunch.”

The picture also featured Sachin and Yuvraj’s wives Anjali Tendulkar and Hazel Keech respectively.

Post his playing career, Agarkar also served as a selector for senior Mumbai Team and undertook coaching responsibilities for Delhi Capitals. He was then recommended, by the committee, for the position of Chairperson of the Men’s Selection Committee based on seniority.

Men’s Selection Committee now include Ajit Agarkar as Chairperson along with Shiv Sundar Das, Subroto Banerjee, Salil Ankola, Sridharan Sharath.
