Parineeti Chopra is not ‘very happy’ about her work in the last five years

Parineeti Chopra had recently admitted to Leading Daily that she, ‘knew it was a bad film’ while shooting for some of her latest releases in the past five years.

Parineeti Chopra confessed that she was ‘not happy with some of the work, she has been doing in the last five years. She revealed there were times when she knew it was a ‘bad film’ while shooting for the movie.

The actress already has three releases this year namely, ‘The Girl On The Train’, ‘Saina’ and ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’. While the first movie was released directly on Netflix, amidst the pandemic the other two still had a wide audience as they were released in the theatre.

In a conversion with Leading Daily, Parineeti said, “Yeah, many scenes in many films in the last five years. I was very unhappy with the work I was doing. I had faith in myself but the filmmakers just wouldn’t offer me the parts I was yearning for. I was signing films half-heartedly. I was in a constant state of dissatisfaction. I will be forever indebted to three directors–Amol Gupte (Saina), Dibakar Banerjee (Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar), and Ribhu Dasgupta (The Girl On The Train),” and admitted that she wasn’t convinced about certain aspects.

She also said about not having a ‘two-way relationship with the directors’ and has gone back home ‘unhappy’ knowing that things would have turned out better if the director might have modified the scenes.

While talking to Hindustan Times, Parineeti said that her cousin Priyanka Chopra’s advice about choosing ‘interesting’ films and not projects ‘just for the sake of it’ just came in at the right moment.

Parineeti Chopra made her debut in Bollywood with Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl in 2011. Later she has been starred in various movies including Hasee Toh Phasee, Golmaal Again and Kesari. Her new project is ‘Animal’ directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
