During a YouTube live session, Australian seamer Pat Cummins was caught in a question about how he would ball to India’s former captain M.S Dhoni when there is a six needed off from a single delivery.
As numerous bowlers have stated during the past, it is very tough bowling during the death overs, that too, for a batsman like MSD, you don’t know what to bowl. Sometimes, the pacers go bowling a ‘yorker’. But, instances have proved where Dhoni has sent the ball out off the park when he was made to face a ‘yorker’.
So, when the Australian front-line bowler was live on his YouTube channel yesterday, fans questioned him what would he prefer to bowl when’s there’s a six needed off from the last ball and Dhoni is on the striker’s end.
The 28 years Australian countered back that he would not go with a ‘yorker’, as he’d seen millions of videos where Dhoni has sent the ball out off the park when the speed-guns have failed to deliver a brilliant yorker. Instead, he opted to bowl a ‘bouncer; or a ‘slower one’ or a ‘wide yorker’. Moreover, I prefer not to be in that situation, Cummins stated.
Interestingly, Cummins has picked former Indian captain’s wicket in two International instances. Both the instances came during India faced Australia in a T-20 encounter. MSD was caught off by the youngster.
