PM Modi performs rituals at Ram temple inauguration ceremony; Watch

For every event, Prime Minister Modi carefully selects his outfit. While everyone anxiously awaited Monday’s pran pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla at Ram Mandir, Prime Minister Modi made an appearance wearing a cream-colored stole, jacket and traditional kurta-pajamas.

PM Modi entered the temple’s arena and climbed the stairs to reach the garbha griha, the spot of the pran-pratistha ceremony. To participate in the pran pratistha rituals, Prime Minister Modi conducted a fast for the last 11 days, consuming only fruits and coconut water for food and sleeping on the floor.

As the ceremonies started, PM Modi held a lotus in his hand. The pran pratistha is held at 12.30pm, at the sacred hour of today’s Abhijeet muhurat.

The new 51-inch statue of Ram Lalla, built by Mysuru-based artist Arun Yogiraj, arrived on January 17 and was installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple on January 18.
