Preity Zinta says constant limelight isn’t her priority; calls privacy and downtime essential

Actor Preity Zinta has made it clear that staying in the spotlight is not something she actively pursues. During a spontaneous AMA session on X, the actor interacted with fans and addressed questions ranging from her upcoming work to her association with the Punjab Kings, along with candid insights into her personal life.

Responding to a question about balancing fame, privacy and peace of mind, Zinta shared that she no longer views these aspects as sacrifices. Instead, she described her life as a careful balancing act shaped by evolving expectations. Calling herself a private person, she said she enjoys connecting with fans but believes in maintaining firm boundaries, particularly when it comes to her family.

The actor stressed that photographing her children without consent is completely unacceptable. While she is generally open to clicking pictures when approached politely, she expressed discomfort with intrusive behavior, especially when photographers capture images without permission or follow her unexpectedly.

Zinta also pointed out that while some actors choose to remain constantly visible, that approach does not align with her personality. She admitted that sudden encounters with paparazzi can feel unsettling, even frightening at times.

Despite her concerns, the actor maintained that she is grateful for the love she receives. However, she emphasised the importance of staying grounded and taking time off away from public attention.
