Priyanka Chopra replaced Zoe Saldana in Russo Brother’s next production; Report

Priyanka Chopra is quietly creating a storm. The actress is preparing for her next project months after headlining the globetrotting Prime Video dud Citadel. According to an online casting call, Priyanka Chopra has been cast to feature in the Russo Brothers-backed movie The Bluff, which is set in the 1800s.

A Reddit user posted a screenshot of the casting call for the movie, which will be helmed by Frank E Flowers. Surprisingly, when details on The Bluff were first revealed a year ago, Zoe Saldana, well-known for Avatar and Guardians of the Galaxy, was supposed to star.

The casting call specifically wants a 13-year-old half-Indian character with cerebral palsy. “Performers with mobility disabilities are strongly encouraged to submit,” the note reads.

The casting call has shared the movie’s logline, which reads, “In the 1800s, a woman (Priyanka) defends her family and village from a brutal pirate attack on their remote Caribbean Island as her past finally catches up with her.”

Priyanka Chopra has appeared in several Hollywood movies, including Baywatch, The Matrix Resurrections and this year’s romance comedy Love Again. Citadel season two is also reportedly in the works, with Priyanka and Richard Madden.

Filmmakers Anthony Russo and Joe Russo are producing The Bluff under their banner AGBO Productions.
