The much-anticipated re-release of Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded has been postponed due to technical reasons. Initially slated for a January 11 release, the extended version of the blockbuster will now hit theaters on January 17. The makers announced the delay on Wednesday via X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Due to technical delays in processing the content, the reloaded version of Pushpa 2: The Rule is delayed.
It will now screen in theaters from 17th January instead of 11th January as planned earlier. Happy Sankranthi, everyone! The extended version will be worth the wait with additional whistle-worthy moments. The wildfire gets more fiery.”
The re-release promises 20 minutes of additional footage, adding to the hype surrounding the film, which has already shattered box office records. Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles, with a stellar supporting cast.
The sequel to the 2021 hit Pushpa: The Rise has become the highest-grossing film of 2024, surpassing ₹1,800 crore worldwide. It is now on track to challenge Dangal’s ₹2,000 crore global record. Notably, the film achieved its milestone in just 32 days, a remarkable feat.
