Rajasthan Court allows Salman Khan to remain absent for blackbuck poaching case hearing due to COVID-19

Salman Khan on Tuesday had persuaded the Jodhpur Court to grant him the permission to be unavailable for the hearing in Blackbuck poaching case. A news report stated that Salman’s lawyer had submitted an application, demanding to remain unavailable during the hearing, due to rise in COVID-19 cases in Rajasthan and pan India. The lawyer also stated that travelling during pandemic could be harmful. Subsequently, Additional District and Sessions Judge Brajesh Panwar allowed the relaxation. Previously, a court punished Salman a five-year jail sentence.
