Ramiz Raja heap praised Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam who was opted for ICC men’s player of the month in April 2021

Babar Azam has been in his most spectacular form in recent times, climbing the stairs of success rapidly. Azam recently surpassed Virat Kohli to become the best batter in the  ICC ODI batsmen rankings in the current cricketing scenario. He added another feather to his already polished cap by becoming Pakistan’s fastest and world’s second-fastest batter to accomplish 2000 T20I  runs. Former cricketer Ramiz Raja heap praised the fiercely Azam after he also claimed himself as the best ICC player of the month in April 2021.

Ramiz clearly stated Babar has one of his kind and has been one of the best in white-ball cricket. he clearly mentioned that there are two ways of batting and one is Babar Azam’s way.

“The world bats in two ways in white-ball cricket. One way is to destroy attacks with muscle and force and then there is the Babar Azam way, like conducting a batting symphony with punch, panache and flair”, Ramiz Raja stated. 

BABAR AZAM IN ODIs

Azam has so far played 80 ODI matches batting in 78 innings scoring more than 3000 runs with an average of 42.53. He has also scored 16 fifties and five centuries as of now.  He made his ODI debut in 2015 against Zimbabwe at the Gaddafi Stadium and had an impressive start to his career by scoring a maiden ODI fifty for the team.

BABAR AZAM IN T20Is

The right-handed Azam has played 54 T20I matches, batting in 52 innings registering more than 2000 T20 international runs recently in 2021. His T20 average (47.33) is scary for the opposition team and has registered 18 fifties and a hundred so far in his pocket. He played his debut T20I match against England at the Emirates Old Trafford which Pakistan won without much hustle in 2016.

BABAR AZAM IN TESTS

Azam has batted in 59 Test innings scoring more than 2000 runs with an average of 42.53 including sixteen fifties and five hundred. Babar played his first Test against West Indies in 2016 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Babar Azam currently leads the Pakistani side and has been quite successful in recent time against South Africa and Zimbabwe. With his captaincy experience improving along with his batting skills delivering him the best, Azam can be very lethal in the T20 World Cup for the opposing teams.
