Actor Saba Azad recently revealed that she was hospitalised after being diagnosed with a parasitic infection, describing the experience as one of the most difficult phases she has faced. Sharing an update on social media, she informed followers that the infection, identified as Cyclospora cayetanensis, left her physically weak and significantly affected her health over the past two weeks.
According to Azad, the illness came unexpectedly, despite her maintaining a careful routine that includes home-cooked meals and carrying her own water. She shared that the infection caused rapid weight loss and extreme fatigue, making even simple physical activity difficult. The actor, who was otherwise following a rigorous fitness routine, said the sudden change in her strength and energy levels was alarming.
Using the platform to spread awareness, Azad urged people to be cautious about food hygiene, especially when consuming raw vegetables. She emphasised the importance of properly washing produce, noting that such infections can occur even with precautions in place.
In her post, she also mentioned that Hrithik Roshan has been by her side during this time, helping her stay positive through the recovery period. She added that his support and sense of humour played a key role in lifting her mood.
