
Tamannaah Bhatia has spoken out over the ongoing rumours that the actress’s identity is connected to a case of suspected cryptocurrency fraud. Numerous rumours circulated that the actress had been called by the Puducherry Police in relation to a bitcoin fraud case for Rs. 2.4 lakh each.
Tamannaah Bhatia denied any involvement in the situation in an official statement that was shared. She called the stories that claimed otherwise “fake” and “misleading,” adding that her staff is investigating the issue in order to take appropriate measures.
She shared in the statemen, “It has come to my attention that rumors are being circulated alleging my involvement and dealing with cryptocurrency. I’d like to request my friends in media not to circulate any such fake, misleading, and false reports and rumors. In the meantime, my team is looking into the same to initiate appropriate action.”
The Stree 2 actress and Kajal Aggarwal were reportedly going to be called in by the Puducherry Police to be questioned in a case involving a purported cryptocurrency scheme, according to a number of rumours that circulated earlier in the day on February 28.
According to a story in 123Telugu, Ashokan, a resident of Puducherry, complained to the local police about how he and his ten friends were tricked out of Rs. 2.4 crore by a Coimbatore-based company after they had invested in a cryptocurrency scheme.
The complainant said that he was invited to the company’s 2022 launch party, which Bhatia attended, and that Kajal attended a follow-up event in Mahabaleshwar. According to the story, the police had asked both actresses for clarification. However, the police have not released an official statement on the subject.
Regarding her career, Tamannaah most recently starred in Sikandar Ka Mukaddar, a Netflix movie. Neeraj Pandey wrote and directed the movie, which also starred Jimmy Sheirgill and Avinash Tiwary in important parts.
