The highly awaited movie Thandel, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, is doing well at the box office, earning ₹44.35 crore in India in its first five days of release. With a fifth-day earnings of ₹3.50 crore, the Chandoo Mondeti-directed film continued to draw large crowds to theatres.
The movie had a 22.87% Telugu total occupancy rating on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, according to Sacnilk. Thanks to good word-of-mouth and favourable reviews, Thandel has maintained its consistent performance even though it is just in its second week.
Thandel is based on a true event from 2018, which tells the terrifying tale of a Srikakulam fisherman who was apprehended by Pakistani soldiers in international waters.
Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s stirring performances, along with the film’s gripping plot, have held viewers’ attention. Since there isn’t any significant competition at the box office, Thandel should shortly surpass the ₹50 crore milestone.
