Three Killed, Seven Workers Injured After Water Tank Collapse in Pimpri-Chinchwad; Probe Underway

In a tragic accident in Bhosari, Pimpri-Chinchwad, three labourers lost their lives and seven others were injured when a section of a water tank collapsed on a nearby labour camp early this morning. The incident occurred in Sadguru Nagar, where the water tank, built by a local contractor, gave way unexpectedly.

Emergency services, including the fire brigade and local police, rushed to the scene shortly after the collapse. Despite their quick response, five workers were declared dead at the site. Ambulances were immediately dispatched to transport the injured workers to nearby hospitals for urgent medical care.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the collapse. Preliminary reports suggest structural instability may be a factor, though further assessments are needed to confirm this. Local officials have expressed their condolences to the families of the victims and assured that strict action will be taken against those found responsible for any negligence.

The incident has raised concerns over the safety measures employed in such construction projects, with many calling for stricter regulations and oversight to prevent further tragedies.
