Triptii Dimri’s team has officially responded to allegations that the actress skipped an event in Jaipur after supposedly accepting a fee of Rs. 5.5 lakh. Dimri, known for her role in the upcoming film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, faced significant backlash after reports surfaced that she failed to attend an event organized by FICCI FLO on Nari Shakti, which was held at a prominent hotel on Jaipur’s JLN Marg.
Videos circulating online featured outraged women entrepreneurs accusing the actress of not honoring her commitment and demanding her boycott. One organizer even claimed that legal action would be taken against Dimri, alleging she was paid Rs. 5.5 lakh for the appearance.
However, in an official statement issued on behalf of Triptii Dimri, her team strongly refuted these claims. “During the ongoing promotional campaign for her film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Triptii Dimri fully honored her professional obligations, attending all scheduled events and sessions related to the film,” the statement read. “She did not participate or commit to any personal appearances or events beyond her promotional duties, and no additional fees or payments were accepted for her involvement.”
The statement sought to clarify that Dimri’s involvement in Jaipur was strictly related to promoting her upcoming film, which is set to release on October 11, 2024, and will face stiff competition from Alia Bhatt’s Jigra. Dimri had attended several promotional events in the city before flying back, her team confirmed.
Despite the denial, the controversy continues to stir conversations online, with videos of individuals defacing her posters from the event still making rounds. As the situation develops, the actress’s upcoming film release and public perception may be affected by the ongoing dispute.
