Virat Kohli breaks the Chepauk wall near India’s dressing room

On Sunday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, where India trains, Virat Kohli was seen with all his energy. Currently, the Indian team, captained by Rohit Sharma, is getting ready for the next two-match Test series against Bangladesh. The first match of the series will take place at Chepauk on September 19, with the second match taking place in Kanpur’s Green Park.

The highlight of Kohli’s training session was a booming six that broke one of the walls at Chepauk near the Indian dressing room. The video was uploaded on Jio Cinema’s website and contained details of India’s Day 2 at the Chennai camp. After his practice sessions, Kohli was spotted talking for a long time about his batting with head coach Gautam Gambhir.

After missing the home series against England due to the birth of his second kid, Kohli is playing his first Test match since January. He is just 58 runs away from reaching the 27,000 run mark in international cricket and matching Sachin’s record as the fastest batsman to accomplish the feat. In all, he will join Sachin, Kumar Sangakkara, and Ricky Ponting as the fourth batter to attain the milestone. In addition, Kohli needs to score 152 runs to surpass Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin, and Rahul Dravid as the fourth Indian batsman to reach 9,000 in Test cricket. He will, however, accomplish the feat the slowest.

With a victory over Bangladesh, India will attempt to solidify their command of the top spot in the World Test Championship points table and add to their unblemished record at home. India has won 11 of their 13 Test match clashes against Bangladesh, with two draws, and they have not lost a series at home since 2012.
