Although Virat Kohli has stepped down from captaincy, he never fails to making news and is always a step ahead.
He has now become the highest run-getter for India in Away ODIs. He required nine runs only when he walked out to bat against South Africa in Paarl. He has overcome Sachin Tendulkar in the run tally. Tendulkar had 5065 runs in 147 innings, but Kohli has surpassed him in just 104 innings with an even better average of 58 to Tendulkar’s 37.
He is followed by MS Dhoni, Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly. Kohli has made 1287 runs against South Africa and is the eighth highest run-getter against them in ODIs. He also ranks third among cricketers with most international century.
