Your WhatsApp chats capture important moments, from family conversations to fun exchanges with friends and all the photos and videos you love to share. To enhance your experience, WhatsApp is introducing new features that make the app more user-friendly, whether you’re organizing your messages, balancing work and personal life, or maximizing your chats.
Free up space, keep what matters: As your chats grow, they can become cluttered. Now, you can manage storage by finding and deleting large files directly from any chat. Simply tap the chat name and choose Manage Storage to remove unnecessary items without losing the entire conversation. Additionally, you can opt to clear only media files while preserving your chat history.
Cross-platform chat transfer made easy: Changing phones should not be a hassle. WhatsApp’s chat transfer feature now allows you to move your chat history from iOS to Android, as well as within the same platform. With just a few taps, your conversations, photos, and videos can be transferred seamlessly to your new device.
Two accounts, one phone — now on iOS: iOS users can now have two WhatsApp accounts logged in simultaneously, similar to Android. This eliminates the need to carry two phones to keep work and personal chats separate. You can easily identify which account you’re using by the profile picture displayed in the bottom tab.
Stickers that match your mood: Stickers offer a fun way to express yourself in chats, and WhatsApp now suggests stickers as you type emojis. With a simple tap, you can replace an emoji with a sticker that perfectly captures your mood.
Photo touch-ups with Meta AI: You can now enhance photos directly in your chat using Meta AI before sending them. This feature allows you to remove distractions, change backgrounds, or apply styles. Note that Meta AI features may not be available to all users.
AI Writing Help is even more useful: The Writing Help feature can now draft suggested responses based on your conversation, helping you communicate effectively while keeping your chats private.
These features are being rolled out now and will soon be available to everyone. We hope they make WhatsApp even easier to use.
