Will Andrew Garfield Appear in Spider-Man 4?

Andrew Garfield has dismissed recent reports claiming he will return as Peter Parker in Spider-Man 4. Despite rumors fueled by his popular appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), where he shared the screen with Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire in a multiverse storyline, Garfield made it clear that he’s not involved in the upcoming fourth installment.

In an interview with GQ UK, Garfield jokingly acknowledged that fans might be skeptical of his denials, especially after his previous misdirection regarding his No Way Home appearance. He said, “I’m gonna disappoint you. Yeah, no. But I know no one’s gonna trust anything I say from now on.”

Though Garfield had expressed interest in returning to the role if a fresh and innovative concept arose, he confirmed that there’s nothing in the works that meets that criteria at the moment. He had previously shared with Esquire that he’d come back to the role if the project brought something new and exciting to the Spider-Man legacy, but as of now, there are no such plans.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man 4, starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, is set to release on July 24, 2026. The film is written by Jeff Nathanson and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with production slated to begin this summer.
