
The Costume Designers Guild Awards 2025 have honored some of the most visually stunning films and TV shows of the past year, with Wicked, Nosferatu, and Conclave taking top prizes.
- Linda Muir (Nosferatu) won Excellence in Period Film
- Paul Tazewell (Wicked) claimed the Sci-Fi/Fantasy Film award
- Lisy Christl (Conclave) earned Excellence in Contemporary Film
All three winners are also nominated for Best Costume Design at the upcoming Academy Awards, making them strong contenders for the Oscar. Other nominees in the race include A Complete Unknown’s Arianne Phillips and Gladiator II’s Janty Yates & Dave Crossman.
On the TV side, HBO’s Dune: Prophecy won Sci-Fi/Fantasy Television, while FX’s Shōgun and Max’s Hacks also received top honors. Beyoncé’s Can’t B Broken (Verizon ad) earned Excellence in Short Form Design.
With such an impressive lineup of winners and nominees, the CDG Awards continue to spotlight the artistry and innovation behind costume design.
