
Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have already chosen a name for their second child. In a recent interview on Jay Shetty’s podcast, Alia revealed that before naming their daughter Raha, they had found a boy’s name they both loved.
In 2022, Alia and Ranbir introduced their daughter, Raha Kapoor, to the world through a heartwarming family photo on Instagram. The picture featured a customised jersey with the name ‘Raha’ on it. Alia previously shared that the name was suggested by Ranbir’s mother, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor. The name holds a deep meaning representing divine path, peace, joy, freedom, and bliss which reflected the emotions the couple felt when they held their daughter for the first time.
During the podcast, Alia explained how they decided on the name. She said, “Ranbir and I were so excited that we asked our family group to suggest both boy and girl names. We came across many options but fell in love with one boy’s name, which we decided to keep in mind.”
She also shared that Neetu Kapoor suggested the name ‘Raha’ and mentioned that it would go well with the boy’s name if they ever had a son. Alia and Ranbir instantly loved the name and decided it was perfect for their baby girl.
While fans are eager to know the name the couple has chosen for Raha’s future sibling, Alia and Ranbir are keeping it a secret for now.On the professional front, the couple will next appear together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited film Love & War, alongside Vicky Kaushal.
