Ananya Panday Opens Up About Struggles with Imposter Syndrome and Social Media Judgment

Bollywood actress Ananya Panday, who is gearing up for the release of Vikramaditya Motwane’s CTRL, has admitted to dealing with imposter syndrome despite her stardom. Known for her roles in Student of the Year 2 and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, the young actress revealed that she often feels disconnected from her own fame.

In a recent interview, it was shared by Ananya that imposter syndrome emerges even in simple situations, such as when her name is mentioned during interviews. It was explained that this creates a feeling of detachment, as if she is observing herself from a third-person perspective. Watching herself on billboards or in films is said to evoke a similar response, with the actress confessing to forgetting that it is her on screen.

It was also mentioned by Ananya that she is very critical of her work, constantly seeking validation from those around her. She reportedly expressed the desire to reshoot scenes even after receiving approval from directors, feeling that she could always perform better.

The actress further noted that social media plays a significant role in her imposter syndrome, with her confidence fluctuating depending on the comments she reads. While some days are described as manageable, other times negative feedback can make her question her abilities. Ananya is now preparing for the release of CTRL, set to release on Netflix on October 4, 2024.
