On Wednesday, the main accused in Bengaluru’s murder case was discovered dead in Odisha. According to Odisha police officials, he appears to have taken his own life.
The man, identified as Mukti Ranjan Roy, was discovered today in the Bhadrak district of Odisha, hanging from a tree. He was the primary suspect in the case and one of her three closest pals in Bengaluru. The discovery of Mahalaxmi’s body, which had been upsetting the city, on Saturday revealed that she had been chopped into about thirty pieces and placed inside the refrigerator. Given that some of the body pieces were partially decomposed, the investigators concluded that she had been slain at least two weeks earlier.
The woman was divorced from her husband, who had allegedly accused her buddy of killing her friend, and worked at a mall. Days had passed since the city police had declared they had identified the culprit and were pursuing him when the body was discovered.
