Brenda Song is feeling nostalgic as she reminisces about one of her most iconic moments as London Tipton from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. While promoting her new project, The Last Showgirl, the actress reflected on how her fans still remember her for the hilarious “PRNDL” scene from the Disney series.
During a press conference for her film, Song shared how fans often quote the famous line whenever they see her. “In that moment, you just don’t realize what you’re doing. But also, why isn’t it called the PRNDL? Why do they call it the gearshift?” she said with a laugh. “It should be called the PRNDL. London Tipton was right.”
The scene she’s referring to takes place in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody when her character, the clueless heiress of a hotel empire, is learning to drive. Mr. Moseby, played by Phill Lewis, asks her, “Are you familiar with the gearshift?” London, ever the airhead, responds, “You mean… the PRNDL?” Moseby, trying to stay calm, sarcastically retorts, “Oh, I’m sorry. Why don’t we just relax or turn on the radio? Would you like AM or FMM?”
In addition to revisiting her Suite Life roots, Brenda is excited about her role in The Last Showgirl, where she stars alongside Jamie Lee Curtis and Pamela Anderson, directed by Gia Coppola. The film is currently in theaters, giving fans another chance to see the actress shine in a new role.
