Delhi HC terminates SSR’s father’s petition, ‘#BoycottBollywood’ trends on Twitter

After the Delhi High Court terminated the Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh petition, netizens trend ‘#BoycottBollywood’ on Twitter.

Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh filed plea seeking restraining of anyone using his son’s name, likeness, images, caricature, personal life and other aspects in any movie.
The Delhi High Court, however on Thursday, dismissed the plea. The court also stayed the release of the movie ‘Nyay: The Justice’, that is purportedly based on Rajput’s life.
After the judgement was passed the audience took off all the aggression on Twitter. The fans of SSR went on board and trending #BoycottBollywood after the Delhi Court refused the petition and it is trending with a hefty 18.8k tweets. Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Meetu Singh tweeted, “Extremely disheartened by the judgement. #JusticeForSushantSinghRajput #SSRinas #SushantSinghRajput”.

Whereas by are targeting Bollywood personalities @ssrthe_legend wrote, “This is the limit!!Disgusting opportunistic bullyweed this time you will see the power of #BoycottBollywood. We have to make sure this time the boycott rattles them to the core. Politics Delaying SSR justice”

Netizens are also calling out on Kareena Kapoor Khan for playing the role of Sita in the upcoming Mythology drama ‘Ramayana’
@PAlly09989399 said, “Kareena Kapoor Khan is rumoured to playing Sita in a retelling of Ramayan. She named her son Taimur which showed her true colours. We all know what he did 2 Hindu’s. I don’t want Bollywood defaming our religion with their films anymore enough is enough.  #BoycottBollywood.”

The plea phrased that any modification of any story, film or any other venture without the permission of the family or legal heir was a breach of the fundamental right of privacy and ‘personality right of celebrity.’
