
Netflix is set to introduce Demon City, an action-packed Japanese thriller, to its subscribers on February 27, 2025. The film, adapted from Masamichi Kawabe’s comic Oni Goroshi, is sure to excite fans of action and suspenseful dramas.
The movie follows hitman Shuhei Sakata, who is on the verge of turning his life around for the sake of his family when the Kimen-gumi, a mysterious organization, murders his wife and daughter. They frame him for the crime, tarnishing his reputation. Shot in the head during the attack, Shuhei miraculously survives but falls into a coma. Twelve years later, the Kimen-gumi strikes again, awakening his dormant killer instincts. What follows is a relentless quest for revenge, but as he uncovers the truth, he is faced with a revelation that could alter his destiny forever.
The film boasts an impressive cast, including Toma Ikuta, Masahiro Higashide, Ami Touma, Mio Tanaka, Taro Suruga, Mai Kiryu, Naoto Takenaka, Takuma Otoo, Matsuya Onoe, and Masanobu Takashima. Directed and written by Seiji Tanaka, Demon City promises to be a gripping experience for viewers.
