Jade Thirlwall, the talented former member of Little Mix, recently shared a funny and lighthearted story about her brief teenage date with Harry Styles during their X Factor days. While guesting on Louis Theroux’s podcast, Thirlwall recalled how she and Styles went on one date when they were just 16. However, after Styles was placed in One Direction and the live shows began, he quickly stopped replying to her messages, leaving her thinking, “That’s it, now he’s gone. He’s made it.”
Despite the ghosting, Thirlwall went on to re-audition for The X Factor the following year, eventually being placed in Little Mix with Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson. Meanwhile, Harry Styles went on to conquer the world with One Direction, becoming a global superstar.
Years later, Styles apologized for ghosting Thirlwall during their teenage years. According to Thirlwall, he was warm, charming, and very apologetic, and she reflected on how he had always been lovely despite the early awkwardness. She praised his talent and charisma, saying, “He’s gotten himself to where he is because he’s very talented and he’s very lovely.”
Now embarking on her solo career, Thirlwall released her debut single Angel of My Dreams in 2024 and has followed it up with tracks like Fantasy and IT Girl, cementing her place as a rising star in the music industry.
