In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, actor Dino Morea revealed that he and Bipasha Basu broke up while filming the 2002 horror hit Raaz. Despite their on-screen chemistry captivating audiences, things were not as smooth behind the scenes.
Reflecting on that difficult period, Dino admitted that it was he who decided to end the relationship due to unresolved issues. “During Raaz, we were breaking up, and it was very tough to see someone I care about so much being upset every day on set,” he shared.
Although both tried to mend their relationship, it had already reached a breaking point. “We had already chosen different paths, and though we tried to work things out, it just wasn’t happening. Eventually, I moved on,” Dino explained.
The actor described the emotional toll of working closely with someone he had spent years with. “It was a challenging time; parting ways while still working together made it even harder,” he recalled. However, Dino believes that time heals all wounds. “We were both upset, but time heals everything—you just have to let it pass,” he said.
Despite the painful breakup, Dino revealed that they eventually became close friends. “After the anger and emotions faded, we realized we still enjoyed each other’s company, so we became the best of friends,” he concluded.Dino and Bipasha first met on a blind date during their early modeling days and were in a relationship from 1996 to 2001 before going their separate ways.
