It’s cool to see Ron Perlman still has a soft spot for Hellboy, but it sounds like a reunion is unlikely unless Guillermo del Toro decides to return—which, given his recent statements, seems pretty doubtful. The bigger issue is whether a studio would even back another Hellboy movie from Del Toro. His version was beloved, but Hellboy II underperformed at the box office, which is probably why the 2019 reboot happened in the first place (even though that flopped hard). If Perlman and Del Toro did team up again, it would likely have to be a passion project rather than a big-budget studio-backed film.
