Golda Rosheuvel joins the cast of the new BBC project titled– The Dream Lands

The BBC’s upcoming six-part series The Dream Lands has added Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte star Golda Rosheuvel to its already impressive cast! Adapted from Rosa Rankin-Gee’s novel Dreamland, the show is set in a near-future Margate in 2039, where rising sea levels, extreme temperatures, and political turmoil shape the lives of its residents.

Rosheuvel will play Iona, alongside Pascale Kann as Chance, Clara Rugaar as Franky, Connor Swindells as Kole, and Katherine Parkins as Antonia. Other cast members include Jacob Greenway, Scarlett Rayner, Raphael Sowole, and Tareq Al-Heddal.

Described as a coming-of-age story set against increasing inequality, The Dream Lands follows Chance, a young woman resorting to crime to survive. When the government announces a rejuvenation project for her struggling coastal town, everything shifts—especially as she falls for Franky, someone tied to the establishment.

The series is directed by Erika Calmeyer and Myriam Raja, with Jon Jennings producing. It’s co-produced by Universal International Studios and SISTER.

Given its socially relevant themes and compelling cast, The Dream Lands is shaping up to be a must-watch!
