Harry Styles is not new to being inked, but his most recent tattoo has really stirred things up among admirers. Given its intimate location, the tattoo was probably not even a recent addition to his body, but it had never been noticed before.
However, it was evident the singer had gotten the word “Olivia” tattooed on his upper thigh while wearing a pair of short shorts on a boat in Italy, maybe as a tribute to his ex-girlfriend Olivia Wilde. Given how crazy that relationship was, the new finding generated a lot of internet fuss, and the responses are really entertaining. Fans were unaware of a tattoo on Styles’ right thigh until images from his vacation in Bolsena, Italy appeared on Friday, July 28.
Superfans enlarge the writing to make sure it does actually say “Olivia.” Although Styles has used the name frequently throughout his career, including when he was a member of One Direction and wrote the song “Olivia,” it is most likely that he got the tattoo while he was still seeing his ex Olivia Wilde. While they were co-producing the movie Don’t Worry Darling at the start of 2021, Styles and Wilde established their first romantic connection.
Given that Wilde was still processing her breakup from Jason Sudeikis and the relationship created a flood of rumours of behind-the-scenes conflict on the Don’t Worry Darling set, the romance gained notoriety for its tumultuous nature. Styles and Wilde split up at the end of 2022, but it now seems like Styles has a lasting remembrance of his ex imprinted on his body.
Although the origin of Styles’ “Olivia” tattoo is unknown, it is safe to assume that he got it sometime between 2020 and 2022 when he was dating Wilde and that no one discovered it until months after their breakup. Fans enjoyed speculating about Styles’ reaction to getting his ex’s name tattooed on his calf when the tattoo went public.
