‘Hope He Comes Back’: Harshvardhan Rane Reacts to Vikrant Massey’s Retirement

Actor Harshvardhan Rane has weighed in on Vikrant Massey’s unexpected announcement to retire from acting at the age of 37, expressing hope that the decision is not permanent. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rane, who co-starred with Massey in the Netflix thriller Haseen Dillruba, shared his admiration for the actor and speculated about the reasoning behind his retirement.

“He is a man with a clear and centered thought process. I respect his work ethic and look up to his acting process on Haseen Dillruba’s shoot,” Rane said, adding, “I’m praying this is just some PR activity forced on him by some filmmaker. These are great artists, and our country needs their presence in cinema.”

Massey’s announcement comes shortly before the release of Zero Se Restart, a documentary by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. In his Instagram post, the actor stated he was stepping away from acting to focus on his personal life but assured fans he would complete his current commitments before retiring in 2025.

Rane drew comparisons to Aamir Khan, who had taken breaks in the past only to return with impactful projects. “I hope Vikrant gets back to making films. Artists like him bring depth to our cinema,” he remarked.

While fans are still processing Massey’s decision, Rane’s comments echo the sentiments of many who believe this might not be a permanent farewell from the talented actor.
