COVID-19 has been once again at its peak affecting millions throughout the country. In such deteriorated situations, we have seen some cricketing heroes coming forward to help people in their capacity. It was Virendra Sehwag earlier who has promised to deliver homemade healthy food to the COVID patients and needful people in Delhi and now it’s Rajasthan Royal’s seamer Jaydev Unadkat taking a step for the same.
Jaydev has pledged to donate ten per cent of his IPL salary to provide essential medical resources for those who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Jaydev Unadkat was retained for 3 crores by the Royals this year.
Earlier to this Kolkata Knight Riders star bowler Pat Cummins donated a total of A$ 50,000 in the Prime Minister’s relief fund to supply the need for oxygen in the needful hospitals. Even Australian former cricketer Brett Lee came forward for the cause.
I am contributing 10% of my IPL salary towards providing essential medical resources for those in need. My family will make sure it reaches the right places. Jai Hind! pic.twitter.com/XvAOayUEcd
