Jacob Elordi Starrer The Narrow Road to Deep North Snatched Up by Prime Video

Jacob Elordi is set to star in the upcoming series The Narrow Road to Deep North, which will be available for streaming on Prime Video. The show, based on Justin Kurzel’s novel, will premiere at the Berlinale and has already been sold to platforms including SKY, Max, and NBC Universal.

Elordi will portray Colonel Dorrigo Evans, an Australian doctor whose complex personal life is explored through his illicit love affair with his uncle’s wife, Amy Mulvaney. The story delves into Evans’ haunting memories of this affair, as well as his harrowing experiences as a prisoner of war during the construction of the Burma Railway in World War II.

Mike Wald, president of the distribution partners, described the series as a “sweeping love story” anchored by Elordi, who is currently one of Hollywood’s most sought-after stars. He also mentioned that the series has been shot beautifully, with a cinematic scope, and fits perfectly into a five-episode arc, making it adaptable for a range of platforms.

The series is penned by Shaun Grant and directed by Justin Kurzel. Executive producers include Joe Porter and Rachel Gardner, with additional funding from Flanagan, Grant, and Kurzel.

In addition to Prime Video, The Narrow Road to Deep North has also been picked up by the BBC for its U.K. broadcast, making it a highly anticipated international release.
