John Abraham Looking to Reunite with Akshay Kumar for a Comedy Project

Bollywood actor John Abraham is eager to revisit the world of comedy, and this time, he hopes to collaborate with his longtime friend and frequent co-star, Akshay Kumar. The two have previously worked together in hit comedy films such as Garam Masala, Desi Boyz, and Housefull 2, and Abraham is enthusiastic about reuniting for another project.

Speaking to PTI in an interview, the 52-year-old actor expressed his interest in doing something light-hearted, emphasizing that comedy should not just entertain but also convey meaning. “Films like Garam Masala were special, and they made a difference. I’m on the lookout for scripts that can bring that kind of joy,” he said.

Abraham revealed that he has been having “conversations” with Kumar about the possibility of a reunion. “Akshay and I feed off each other’s energy, so we are looking for an excuse to work together again. It will be a surprise if something materializes soon,” he added.

In addition to teaming up with Kumar, Abraham also expressed his desire to work with Shivam Nair, the director of his latest project The Diplomat, in a comedy film. “Shivam has a unique sense of humor, and I’m waiting for him to write something. His slapstick comedy is something that will have you laughing till you drop,” Abraham shared.Abraham’s latest film, The Diplomat, released on March 14, has been well-received, grossing Rs. 4.03 crore on its opening day.
