Justin Baldoni filed a lawsuit against Blake Lively accusing her of attempting to ban him from their film’s premier

Justin Baldoni has alleged that his It Ends With Us co-star Blake Lively attempted to bar him and his team from attending the film’s August premiere amid their ongoing legal battle. Baldoni, who has faced accusations of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against Lively, escalated the conflict by filing a $250 million defamation lawsuit against The New York Times on December 31, 2024.

According to court documents obtained by The Post, Baldoni claimed that Lively initially refused to let him or his Wayfarer Studio team attend the premiere to undermine his roles as director, executive producer, and actor in the film. After significant pressure, she reportedly allowed their attendance but under what Baldoni described as “humiliating conditions.” The documents alleged that Baldoni and his team, including producer Jamey Heath, were segregated from the main cast, excluded from the exclusive after-party, and required to host a separate event at their own expense.

Baldoni further claimed that his red carpet appearance was intentionally cut short, and his friends and family were confined to a holding area in the basement before being escorted to a separate theater for the screening after Lively left. He accused the Gossip Girl star of sidelining him during the film’s marketing and sabotaging his ability to celebrate the success of the project with his team.

The Jane the Virgin actor went as far as to accuse Lively of “stealing the film” from him and described her actions as part of a deliberate effort to derail his career. He also alleged that Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, confronted him aggressively, accusing Baldoni of “fat-shaming” Lively and pressuring his agent to sever ties with him. However, Baldoni’s former agency, WME, which also represents Lively and Reynolds, has denied these allegations.

Baldoni claimed that these actions left him and his studio increasingly wary of Lively and Reynolds, fearing they were actively working to damage his career and personal life. While neither Lively nor Reynolds has publicly commented on the situation, the legal drama surrounding the It Ends With Us premiere adds another layer of complexity to the strained relationship between the two co-stars.
