Justin Baldoni’s Attorney Accuses Ryan Reynolds Of Taking Jab At His Client

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal drama is taking a fascinating turn. After Baldoni filed a lawsuit claiming that Ryan Reynolds “aggressively” berated him during a work meeting, his lawyer, Bryan Freedman, has made a new accusation against the Green Lantern actor. Freedman now claims that Reynolds created a Deadpool and Wolverine character, Nicepool, based on Baldoni’s persona as a “pseudo-nice guy.”

During an appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show, Freedman commented on the situation, saying, “What I make of that is that if your wife is sexually harassed, you don’t make fun of Justin Baldoni.” He went on to suggest that the character’s creation may be a response to the harassment allegations, adding, “There’s no question it relates to Justin.” Freedman also pointed out physical similarities between Baldoni and the character, including a man bun, and emphasized that if the harassment claims were true, joking about it would be inappropriate and distasteful.

Nicepool is an alternate version of Deadpool, depicted as someone who hides his toxic behavior behind an overly positive and “nice” exterior. In his introduction in the film, Nicepool engages with Deadpool (Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), making a comment about Ladypool (Lively), stating that she doesn’t look like she just had a baby. When Deadpool objects, Nicepool responds with, “That’s okay, I identify as a feminist,” adding another layer of irony to his character’s superficial positivity.

This new angle in the legal dispute raises further questions about Reynolds’ involvement and the dynamics surrounding the case.
