Actress Kangana Ranaut stole the spotlight at the recent screening of The Sabarmati Report at Delhi’s Parliament Library Building. Known for her outspoken nature, Kangana had sharp words for the paparazzi when asked about her views on the film.
“Aap logon ne dekhi nahi abhi bhi? Bahut achhi lagi (You guys haven’t watched it yet? I liked it very much),” she said, highlighting her appreciation for the film. She didn’t stop there, adding, “Aur sab jaake dekhiye. Aise bakwas filmein dekhte hain, achhi filmein bhi dekh lo for a change (And you all should go and watch. You watch these nonsense films, watch good films for a change).”
Speaking to ANI, Kangana emphasized the historical significance of the film, stating, “It is a very important film… It is our country’s history, and the previous government hid facts from the people. The film shows how people played politics in such a grave situation back then.”
Directed by Dheeraj Sarna and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, and Anshul Mohan, The Sabarmati Report revisits the 2002 Godhra train burning and its aftermath. The film features Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna, and Ridhi Dogra in pivotal roles. Kangana’s remarks have sparked discussions, further raising curiosity about the film.
