
Veteran actor Kanwaljit Singh recently became emotional while recalling a touching gesture by Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan. In an interview with Hindi Rush, Kanwaljit reflected on his bond with Bachchan and broke down as he remembered the superstar’s kindness.
Kanwaljit, who worked with Amitabh in the 1982 film Satte Pe Satta, shared that he used to be intimidated by the legendary actor during the shoot. “I was so scared of him that whenever I hit a good shot while playing snooker, I would apologize. He would say, Why are you sorry? That was a good shot,” he reminisced.
However, it was Bachchan’s gesture towards Kanwaljit’s late son, an artist, that deeply moved him. With tears in his eyes, he recalled, “Amitabh ji specifically told his secretary, ‘Arrange dates for Kuku, I’ll go to him.’ Then he came for the opening of my son’s art exhibition. That was very sweet of him.”
Kanwaljit, known for films like Raazi, Rustom, and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, is currently receiving praise for his role in Mrs. on ZEE5.
