Kanye West Teases Daughter North West’s Album

In a rare Instagram post, Kanye West updated his fans about his daughter North West’s upcoming album. On January 20, Kanye, 47, shared a series of posts, including one that showed North, 11, who he shares with ex-wife Kim Kardashian. The photo also featured his other kids: son Saint, 9, daughter Chicago, 7, and son Psalm, 5.

Kanye started his post by sharing how much his daughter means to him, writing, “This little girl made me love music again.” The photo, which was in black and white, showed North in the studio. She wore a striped sweatshirt, jorts (jean shorts), and fur boots, with a keyboard visible in the background.

He went on to explain how North had asked him to make beats for her. Kanye said he worked hard on the tracks for her album, even saying he “chopped every beat with my bare hands for BULLY,” which he seems to be referring to as his own album in the making, Bully.

Malik Yusef, a past collaborator of Kanye, who seemed to be with them during the creative process, commented on the post, saying, “Yes, sir, you definitely did that. I’ve been a witness, seen it with my own two eyes. It’s really good to see the young God YE doing pure magic!!!!”

Kanye also shared a black-and-white clip of North walking into the studio with his first cousin, WRLDFMS Tony Williams. He captioned the video, “TRAINING 2.0,” suggesting the young artist is honing her craft further.

This update follows a big moment last year when North made her debut in her father’s Vultures series, lending her voice to tracks like “Talking (V1)” and “Bomb (V2).” At a listening party for Kanye’s album, Bully, North revealed that she had been working on her own album, titled Elementary School Dropout. The title, a nod to Kanye’s 2004 album The College Dropout, was met with cheers from the crowd when she announced it.

Kanye had teased his own album, Bully, earlier this month in a now-deleted Instagram post. The excitement surrounding both of their projects shows just how much talent runs in the family.
